Hi,

What would be the best way to deal with HDV footage where some footage was shot in 23.98 fps and some was shot in 29.97 fps? The sequence is 23.98 and I would like to keep it that way.

Depends on the software (and version) you are using and how it is set up. In FCP 7 you can simply drop the 29.97 into the 23.98 timeline, though I don't recommend editing in the HDV format.
