I think I am right in saying if you have odd sizes in-between the fixed values you mention then you will get this error message?

Absolutely great advice

Yes, I was agreeing with you, just wanted to clarify.

Hi I have incurred this problem several times. "codec not found you may be using a compression type without a corresponding hardware card"

I really need to get a job out.

I have just started using the smooth cam option as well as Magic bullet.

What can I do?

Welcome to the forum, B.

There are several places to look for what might be causing this error to come up. The first place to look is to open the problem sequence and from the Menu bar choose Sequence > Sequence Settings and select the Video Processing tab. Toggle to 8-bit or 10-bit processing depending on the current setting. Problem go away?

If not, the fact you are using a third party plug-in makes me think that is where the problem lies. Does your sequence have any clips with the Magic Bullet plug-in applied? What happens if you disable that clip?

When posting questions it can be helpful to be specific about your system set-up because hardware / software conflicts are often the cause of problems. So post info on what software you are using, and what version. And tell us what kind of computer you have, the OS version, and any additional hardware (i.e. AJA or Blackmagic I/O devices).
